New Year’s Eve Table Setting Ideas

Although we don’t actually have confirmed New Year’s Eve plans yet (we are way behind on planning this year!), we have toyed with a few ideas of how we want to ring in 2013.  We pretty much have ruled out buying over-priced tickets to a bar, hotel or club, but a last minute vacation and hosting a dinner party are certainly not ruled out!  As I was sitting on my computer over the last 24 hours, I started day-dreaming about hosting a dinner party and how I would decorate, what I would cook, the drinks I’d serve…I was getting a little bit too excited about  this idea.  I just can’t stop browsing pinterest to get the creative juices flowing.  Below are a few table settings that I am garnering several ideas from.  As for just plain ole NYE party décor….I need a few more days to put together a collage of photos….the ideas are endless and I need to contain them.

And if we don’t go through with a dinner party for NYE, I suppose some of these ideas could be used for an ‘Oscars’ party…..which I WILL be hosting!

NYE Table Settings

Table 1: I love the idea of using wrapping paper as a table runner! This is such a great way to decorate your table, for any occasion, while staying on a budget.

Table 2: The use of the cake stand to hold the vases and decorations (left over Christmas ornaments) is such a quick and easy…and cute centerpiece idea.

Table 3:  Martini glasses on the center of the plates is a great way to display personalized party favors, decorations and place setting nametags.

Table 4: I am biased to this decor; anything masquerade-related will always be my favorite party theme.  Also, you can never go wrong with gold and black for NYE.

Table 5: I love the personalized hats and horns on each place setting; nothing says ‘Party’ more than a party hat!

Table 6: Using presents as a decorative center-piece is great…. and cheap!

Table 7: The blue and silver colors and the use of the clocks for New Year’s Eve decorations is a great way to make the evening timeless.  For larger parties, I would hand-paint silver plates to get the same look and feel.

Table 8: Candles and flowers are always flawless.
